The Bunker was the venue and WCG.QLD State Qualifiers was the occasion. Over the weekend, gamers from across the board competed in a number of tournaments held over the course of two days. Warcraft 3 saw a TB local take out the autoberth position, mOOn-GLaDe. He defeated iCute and gets flights to Sydney for the National Final event in August.

Sunday brought the masses, with the Counter-Strike tournament held over the course of the day. Teams turned up early with registration, draw and first matches were under way before the planned 10am start. Two autoberths and two invites were up for grabs which saw some players stress levels rise towards the middle of the tournament.

Guitar Hero 3 competitiors played it out in the depths of the bunker in a best of 3 competition. Over the course of the day we saw Xant and Lamb of Thunder secure invites for the national finals event. One of the Favourites, THFS came up early against Lamb of Thunder and was knocked out in a narrow 3rd song decider.

GameStah casters, MomoWang & Depz provided us with shoutcasting for the day. They did a great job and were fantastic at providing a heap of coverage of the day. It will be good to see the GameStah team in Sydney for the National Finals at Luna Park. To download the casts of the day, head to the GameStah website!

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks for everyone who came down to either spectate or compete. The final day took a while to finish, but thanks to Sam from The Bunker the day ran very well. I hope everyone had a good day & filled up on the stack of pizzas (which were all demolished within 10 minutes). :)

Thanks again, and see you all next time.

- Jake
