Hi guys! As you all know by now, the new MC Internet Cafe recently launched in Melbourne
since Monday last week. We are now looking to run our first LAN competition here.

COMPETITION DETAILS

Date: Sunday, 19th April 2009
Time: 10am start, 9:30am registration
Teams: 16 spots
Venue: MC Internet Cafe
Address: Level 1, 276 Russell Street, Melbourne City
Cost: $100 per team ($20 per person)
Format: Double Elimination

PRIZES

1st - $500 + 1 month unlimited free time at MC Internet Cafe
2nd - 1 month unlimited free time at MC Internet Cafe
3rd - 1 week unlimited free time at MC Internet Cafe

IMPORTANT NOTE: All players are advised to bring all peripheral devices such as keyboard,
mouse, headphone etc. Please do not be late, admins will not tolerate any late excuses. All
typical rules apply such as crouch to mwheel binding, screen cheating, flash bugging etc.
Should your team be late, you will be forced to play with 4 players - any less than 4 players
will result in a forfeit outcome. You have been warned.

ADDITIONAL NOTE:

Ghost talking is permitted.
Mwheel binding to duck is not permitted.
32bit smoke is enforced.
Flashbugging will incur a 3 round deduction.
Map rotation will be decided on the day.
Grand Finals will NOT include de_tuscan.
HLTV coverage will be organised.

its probably already been though of but i'll say it anyway:

i know it says that flashbugging will incur a 3 round deduction - which is fine - just make sure you have the flashbug-proof (bar misc ones) drax maps loaded on the server before the comp to ensure that they wont happen as much if at all as it'll be better for players and alot easier for admins!

prevention is much better than punishment :D

other than that everything looks awesome and i cant wait :D

#15 Drax maps will most definitely be used for this competition, but please take into consideration these maps do not take out the full possibility of flash-bugging.

#17 We will take this into consideration when selecting the map rotation. Would attendees prefer to only play tuscan once in upper and lower bracket, both early on in the competition or rather not play the map at all?

lol zenon.. if anything you have tuscan in double elim. Groups you will only have like 4-5 teams in a group which means you will only play 3 or 4 games. Why would you have tuscan 1 of the 3 maps played in groups? At kode5 there was only _1_ game played on tuscan in the whole comp. Just whip it out imo, theres no point of it.

theres nothing wrong with tuscan i know it feels bad to go to lan lose to dice on tuscan n go home... shit happens even if u prac every night... its cs :<
