Do you want to represent Australia in Guitar Hero?



We've decided to offer gamers one last chance to take part in Guitar Hero 3 at the World Cyber Games Australian National Finals.

On Saturday August 9, level one of Luna Park's Big Top will be taken over for a massive Guitar Hero play off, where anyone with the talent and the nous can take a crack at winning a spot in the final Guitar Hero 3 Tournament which will take place on Sunday. What do you have to do to enter? It's easy!

When you arrive at the booth, stand in line to have a go at Guitar Hero 3. The tournament administrator there will take down your name and they&'ll pick a song on Hard difficulty for you to play. Get the highest score and you'll be offered a spot to play in the main tournament on Sunday! If you're lucky, you'll even get a chance to see some of the players you might be facing on Sunday with some of the qualified Guitar Hero 3 players coming down to strut their stuff before the main event.

We have eight spots on offer and every hour there will be a new song, so you'll have to make sure you know your stuff! Should you qualify, you'll be facing off against one of the Guitar Hero 3 players who qualified at the State events around Australia earlier this year. Beat them and you could be on your way to Cologne to battle it out with the world's finest!

But that's not all we have! Don't forget WCG, in conjunction with NOVA, are still looking for the Ultimate Guitar Hero Shredder. Live on stage on the 8th of August, judges will determine the best rock god between real guitarists and talented Guitar Hero players. The Guitar Hero Shredding tournament will begin at 6pm on the Friday while the GH3 Open Preliminaries begins at 9am.
