Not at all. The news is that 120 stores across aus will stock steelseries products as opposed to ordering it in for you

JB Hifi has has stocked Steelseries since 2007, the only problem was they were always hesitant to place orders, (like 2 mousepads per month if that). They never really committed to a large range of orders.

When the Ikari was released, JB Hifi committed to large quantities of both the optical and the laser, however the mouse was faily fail and the relationship soured (which is why latley is been pretty hard to find SteelSeries in JB)

Also, the distributor back then 2007-2009ish also sold to PCCaseGear Gamerzstuff Umart MSY centrecom etc etc.

Looks like JB might have taken up the leads and be buying directly from Steelseries, or the new Australian distributor has once again landed an amazing reseller.

what's with the new keyboard? it's like almost identical to the 7g but doesn't have the headphones/microphone adaptor which i reckon is the best feature??

jb hifi at chaddy sells a few steelseries stuff
although they're all fairly overpriced except for the qck+ which is only $28 and the razer speed is $40ish when the SS is sppsed to be more expensive

my thoughts exactly choobie,

standard 7G keyboard

+ a built in siberia soundcard (headphones + mic)
+ a few extra USB plugs
+ Media Controls (volume wheel and Play/Stop/Next/Previous

and maybe some internet buttons

Would be the best keyboard ever made :)

steelseries 7g is the best.. i hate curvy keyboards with speed humps on them and neon lights and glow sticks flashing everywhere.. it's simple, plain, rectangular and has every feature

that roccat keyboard would be good except the blue neon light and the ctrl key not being the bottom left button
