Giving away six 500fps servers! « back ... 1 ... next »

ZYM will be giving away six Counter-Strike @ 500fps stable servers for the month. Servers are located in QLD so we're mainly looking for QLD/NSW teams/player to be testers.

"EAC" is our new anti-cheat which is currently being licensed from Europe and we need testers to test it out before launching it to be used on the ZYM ladder/iPGN comps and other comps.

These servers are EAC [easyanticheat] enabled and have VAC disabled. This is because EAC injects itself into the player's Counter-Strike client and VAC is not friendly with it.

Many other anti-cheat uses similar methods so there's nothing strange about it. [ESEA client/sXe anti-cheat etc]

Basically you get a server, which you have to have EAC client open before you can join it. If no EAC client is found to be running when you join the server, it'll kick you within 30 seconds of joining.

Most cheats like wall hacks and ESP will be blocked automatically. Other cheats not yet detected will be detected through screen-shots and EAC's internal cheat scanner. EAC supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

The bans are automatic [instantly/delayed] and permanent which operates through a global ban-list.

No uploading of demo files needed or anything. You just open the EAC client, select your provider [ZYM] and join the EAC enabled server. When done, you just exit Counter-Strike as normally.

The screen-shots are uploaded through port 50300 at a very low speed. The reason for the trial is that we want to find out if capped users will be affected by this method of transfer. Most likely we will cap the upload at 1kbps-1.5kbps so capped users won't be affected.

More information:

(thread where you can get more details and also this will be the thread where testers report in if they have any problems)

http://easyanticheat.net/v2/index.php?p=about
(the official EAC website where you can download the client and find out more information about it)

Contact me ASAP if you want a free EAC server to trial for the month. Preferably QLD/NSW teams/players who are currently members of ZYM (to give feedback about EAC).

Cheers :D

Update: NO servers left. Too slow! Don't PM me anymore lol.

worth pointing out that if you get banned by EAC there is absolutely nothing ZYM can do about it!

Question about this, does this mean we shouldn't join vac servers with this on?

^what atomic said
although i did join some vac servers, i did not get banned
the author of eac however told me i wouldnt get vacced banned but due to the nature of vac, it could detect it as a hack/unknown program and may vac ban you

but pretty sure there wouldnt be any problems
esea does the same and they havent seen had any problems
the program is mainly used for comps and there will be warnings every so often so yeah

Vac takes a good 2-3 weeks before you actually get banned so yeah.

also would this also mean that say you got a war, every team you versed would also need to have EAC running

Like ESEA in usa? You cant run it and join a vac server because vac detects it as a hack. They had a mass ban of accounts ages ago and they took it up with steam and steam unbanned all users, so yea i think even if your banned from this, should be safe returning an account
